Jack Buck sucked too. Same old monotone voice for a steroided ball club. His son is a homosexual who hangs out with gay C&W groupie and hangs out with Toby Keith in Oklahoma in the off season.

To those of you who agree that Dwight Stones (or any other bad commentator) is the wrong choice for WCSN's coverage of track & field, may I suggest sending them a note to that effect. This is the contact address I got from wcsn.com, and the note I sent. Feel free to plagiarize my note, or make up your own.

Dear WCSN,
Last year I watched the world athletics championships on WCSN and it was fantastic. I have even used the experience to demonstrate to co-workers how good video on the Internet can be. And one of the reasons that it was so great was because you used knowledgeable British commentators, who are used to broadcasting to a track-and-field-savvy audience. The commentary on U.S. television is uniformly dismal, in large part because the commentators try to dumb down the coverage for non-track fans (witness the number of references to the "football 40" on ESPN's coverage). So I was very disappointed to learn that you are using some of the same American commentators for the European meets on WCSN this year as are used for T.V. coverage, notably Dwight Stones. Please, go back to showing the event for real track fans, and stick with commentators who know track, like those who covered last year's world championships. Commentary is doubly important when the video quality isn't as good as TV - please get the best commentators you can. Dwight Stones is not in that category.
Rots of Ruck ;-) WCSN is in financial trouble and may be going bankrupt. Youtube is killing them with amateur video from fans. There is plenty of honest/uncensored coverage from Lebanon and Israel from amateurs on Youtube and other websites.
