Not record eligible to be clear but a monster performance. Hard to make out how much the wind aided today but Korir was 2:50 faster than last year and Simbu was 2:17 faster. Ryan Ford was 2:14 faster. Clayton Young less than those but had a short buildup. Both guys finished 4th, but I’d give slight nod to Mantz for being closer to 2nd and 3rd (and 1st).

Tebello had the largest YOY improvement, he improved 3:01. Rory Linkletter had a smaller scale improvement, he still improved 58 sec.
Overall, this year's course is unquestionably faster than last year's course, probably worth over a minute and a half on average.
And the great thing about racing is that if you want to see Talbi race Mantz, you need to wait maybe 6 months?

Unsure where all these guys will race. I think Hicks going to Chicago would make a ton of sense. Talbi/Mantz I could see in NYC. Wonder what happened with Maier?
