I did find an Australia radio broadcast, a little too late for the 1500- but heard some interviews with a Mark Fountain? Someone fell, caused Mottram to fall?

Badderely (England), tripped and his hand accidently caught Buster's heels bringing him down.
Sullivan caught Baddeley from behind, he fell and brought down Mottram. Baddeley might have re-broken his arm.

My pick:
1 Willis
- Mottram is a great athlete and was the only one in the field tonight that could foot it with Nick but even if he didn't trip I don't think he would of won because of the sub 5000m earlier in the week
2 Mottram
3 doesn't matter...
Dude shut the FDck up.........first off all in that raced Mottram set the pace for the 3 and 4 lap while willis just stay behind like a girl, this timed mottram will let willis go fast and beat willis. If you dont know mottram has a better timed than willis in the mile and 2000 meters so shut up and get your facts...........loser
Now you get your facts right:
- Mottram is a 5000m specialist
- Willis is a 1500m specialist
- Willis won it just like he did in the mile back in February. It was glorious and he did it easily in the end. ;)
- In February were you there? I was in the race - Mottram lead from lap three (after the pace makers finished their jobs through to 800m) - and he pushed the pace because he knew he wouldn't be able to beat Willis in a sprint, but still didn't win.

Seriously that guy is an idiot. Faster mile and 2000 pr? The race is a 1500 no....A distance where Willis has the faster pr? You wuold think that would matter more wouldn't you? lol.

Another clueless poster...Willis has ran 332.3....That's not a lot slower conversion wise then Mottrams mile. And the curve goes in willis's favor the shorter the race. You might want to try and get your facts straight.
Funny how Willis looks exactly like Walker at the finish in Montreal. Emulating a hero?
Is Brannen clenching his fists in anger or happiness?
How did the final 200m play out?

I would imagine happiness. Beating sullivan soundly and takning 2nd....i can't imagine he thuoght he would beat willis, he has to be happy with it. Willis will return to Michigan now to train with Brannen again?
Honestly, Willis made his move at the bell, and he was clear from there. He put 10m on the field on the turn and never really relinquished that lead much. Nate struck from home with about 250m to go and went after Nick, but there was too much ground to make up, but he managed to hold off Fountain and Hamblyn who were also closing fast.
like i said.. "Nate is in the best form of his life - this should be his introduction to the world."
"willis i hope he is 100%. the slowers are at his mercy."
oh isn't it great to be a wolverine!! great job guys!
IT'S GREAT...TO BE...A MICHIGAN WOLVERINE!
Obviously we had Willis and Brannen, and it's too bad Sully got caught up in the mixup, but we also had Nathan Taylor who picked up a bronze medal for Canada in the men's 4 x 100m.
weak race,Willis was only 41s for his last 300m, Heshko would have eaten him up!

Actually, it is a bit surprising that a 41 would've dominated everyone else.
The quality of this race/field reminds me of a first round at a major championship.
I can only come away thinking what might have been had Mottram stayed on his feet and forced the pace from 700m out. I think the results would have looked much differently for the minor medals at least.
A 41second last 300m is not enough to qualify for a worlds final (as Willis has found out in the past). Don't get me wrong, I think he's in for more than his share of those finals to come, I just come away very dissappointed by this much hyped race.
i think once and for all this race proves that ron warhurst sucks. any coach worth a sh*t would have had his athletes sweep the medals. loser.
hey nick and nate beat those put in front of them on the day....nick looked really easy and nate came through brilliantly....it was a fantastic performance and great for Michigan......GO BLUE!!!
