I've never run in super shoes before. But I just picked up a pair of Nike Ultrafly trail shoes and I've noticed on every run I've done in them by HR is noticeably higher than it would otherwise be. At first I just chalked it up to something else, now having put 50+ miles in this shoe it for sure seems to be the shoes. Basically 10bpm higher.
Does this mean I am a non-responder? Am I just too slow to experience the benefit of these shoes?
For context I am a sub 3 hour marathoner, but in about 3:15ish shape right now. I mostly run trails and ultras though. I was hoping to race a 50k in these soon but even though they leave my legs feeling fresh after runs I am worried I will implode trying to break my 50k pr of 3:48
