Saturday, i tripled in the 1600, 800, 4x400 and ran prs in the 1600 and 800
Sunday: jogged 6 miles (preseason mileage: 65 mpw, in season around 45-55)
Monday: jogged 4 miles + strides
Tuesday: Hard Dual Meet, ran 1600 800 3200 and 4x400
ran a couple seconds off pr in mile and 800 before feeling absolutely terrible (blurry vision, bad headache) muscled through the 3200 in 12 mins (40 seconds slower than tempo pace) and felt horrendous and split a 61 in the 4x400 (pr is 52) after this i laid down and just felt horrible, lightheaded, almost threw up. (it was 77 and it’s been 50s for the last couple of weeks)
took off running wednesday because i still had the terrible headache, and turns out i also had a fever and felt very weak
finally took my temperature today and had a fever of 102.4 (confirmed multiple times) with no other symptoms than muscle aches and weakness and headache (no sore throat, stuffy nose)
covid tested negative
is it possible that i really just fried my CNS or could it be something bigger like mono (i do have a girlfriend) or lyme’s disease (i run on trails a lot)
