I have seen a number of articles and interviews written on “Norwegian double threshold work”. I have listened to a fair number of podcast with adherents of that philosophy.
A common thing I’ve noticed is that what all seemingly overview is the foundational work that - per comments from Jakob and others - takes place from approximately October through May. But very little on the specifics of the changes made to their “programs” are available in any of the resources I’ve found.
So, I’m curious: have any of you stumbled upon an article, interview, or podcast with one of the elites on the “double T” system that talk about how they modulate that once they get into the competitive portion of their seasons?
What seems widely known is the Tuesday AM 5-6x2k & PM 10x1k, Thursday AM either 2k’s or 1k’s again & PM either 1k’s or 25x400, Saturdays 20x200m hills (hard!), Sundays ~20k Long Run. Rinse, repeat October-May.
The only thing I’ve seen a time or two about their competitive phase would be something like 10x300m @ mile pace in lieu of Saturdays 200m hills. Just curious if anyone has seen/heard more on more specifics.
