I've been practicing the steeplechase by going over hurdles instead of barriers, and they don't look tall when standing next to them, but I nearly always stutter when going over them as they look far taller when I'm 10 meters away from them. Is just doing more hurdle drills the solution until I'm completely comfortable going over them?
I think I should be able to run ~8:40 with good form as that's slightly slower than my converted 2 mile from my actual 3000 time.
I'm also 5'11" and my hip, when standing next to one, is only ~2 inches below the top of the hurdle.
