I don't know. It looks like PCL is definitely going to be a league to watch with both Beckman and Woodbridge.

10 more?! I think you're dreaming. I think the original poster was trying to point out the fact that the PCL has gotten WAY more competitive over the years. I mean there are 10 boys in the 9:30s or better and 7 boys under 4:22. That's pretty competitive when the PCL used to suck. It's a legit league now. To be fair most of that is Beckman with 9 boys under 10 and their number 1 guy (Ibzan Feliz) at 4:08/9:01. However Woodbridge does have 5 boys between 9:30s-9:50s. However, I think Woodbridge needs more time to become a serious contender. Probably another 2 years when their entire team will be seniors. They should make state next year, but they will probably sneak in and be a midpack state team. It does seem like they have talent (their girls team is solid too), and probably adequate training but they are not elite yet. Don't get me wrong they have made great progress the last few years and their doing well this track season, but they need more time to be at NXN or even a state podium team. They are not ready just yet. Beckman on the other hand is insanely good. Their depth is unreal. They should be a contender for NXN next year. I am amazed by how much they have improved over the last several years. Their coaches and athletes must be doing everything right.
Anyway, I'm not trying to be rude, but I think your comment about 10 more Woodbridge boys sub 10:00 is ridiculous. That would be 15 boys sub 10! They clearly don't have the depth. And with the team they have, it would be a miracle if they get a 6th boy under 10. Still a solid team, but not elite yet. Them becoming an NXN contender like you say next year would result in their coach being coach of the year because nobody expects it for next season. I don't mean to be negative, but I'm just trying to be realistic.
Absolutely!
Amen brother 🙌🙌😭 Lets focus on relevant teams such as Southlake in the Middle school division 🤔🤔🤔🦈🦈🦈
I agree, but I think Beckman is leaving the league next season.
You seem very knowledgeable of PCL. Any word on how well Woodbridge’s frosh and JV team is doing?
Though you point out a valid point my friend, I have something stronger than numbers on my side, I have belief. I have with my group of highschool running enthusiasts have a game where we bet on the next team to make nxn next upcoming season. And I have bet all my money on Woodbridge. If they don’t make it my kids don’t eat. Now its on them.
Huh? I have a feeling you are trolling us right now. Please keep the conversation on california HIGH SCHOOL running . And you are wrong as well, as Lakeside is the strongest team in that league.
Ok liberal 😂😂😂 Lets try to stay on topic here
Who are you calling liberal? Is that supposed to be an insult? You are so immature its appaling. How about yo take this to the conner burns and simon birnbaum fan club because you arent the hero, your the villain.

Whoops. I accidentally clicked down vote on your comment when I meant to click the upvote button.
What the heck?
I feel bad about calling Woodbridge irrelevant. It seemed to have caused a stir, which is interesting. I like to see that. Maybe they will surprise us?
As for the truly irrelevant team, that gets talked about, that award goes to Palisades Charter.
I hope we can surprise everyone. I definitely believe that we have a great group of kids that work hard and we can make a lot of progress. As the only distance track coach and one cross the of cross country coaches I can observe how hard they work and how dedicated they are. Of course I acknowledge that every coach has bias toward their own athletes. I understand the skepticism that everyone has due to issues with the amount of athletes we have. Our team is half the size of what it was 5 years ago. And we have a young team. One of our freshmen boys was hurt for most of the cross country season, but he is coming back. He ran under 16 at Woodbridge Invitational. He's ran a couple races so far, but he ran them both controlled. If he can improve and stay healthy, we could be looking really good for next year. All we can do is our best., and we'll see what happens.
Meet of Champions Distance Classic
He ran a 9:16 yesterday. So he’s getting close to his sophomore 3200 PR
I don't get this team. They were non existent during the cross country season. Yet they have so much talent... If just one of their 4:30/9:50 guys can drop to 9:30, that is one of the most talented teams in the country. Why do they underperform during xc? yet overperform on the track?

They missed the state meet in XC by a few points so they probably used that as a motivation to really step up
