That's the thought I had in my head looking at the tape delayed broadcast once I got home from work. Kind of ironic to think about it, right? I mean no one has benefitted from super shoes more than Eliud Kipchoge. Being the WR holder and two-time Olympic champ is nice but being the first under 2:00 makes you unforgettable.
But is it possible that Nike's shoes just suck in the rain? I know Boston is sponsored by adidas so they send a lot of people there but wasn't this a particularly poor year for Nike at Boston? How many in the men's and women's top 10 did they have and how does that compare to most years?
