brooks used to try some whacky stuff with their racers - the t racers were crazy curved. The green silence was a weird shoe. They had one of the first stability racers on the market.
I don't like their racing lineup now. I used the t3-t6 for road racing though. They were great. Nowadays they are too afraid to take chances, so they just release a shoe similar to, but of lower quality than the other brands. It seems like they have engineers who wait to see what everyone else is doing and then try to play catch up. Too bad.
I run in Brooks and have been for quite a few years. The main reason is the cost. There's a Brooks Outlet store just north of Seattle and twice a year (except during Covid) they have really good sales on "factory seconds". Usually just some cosmetic blemish that you can barely see. Anyway, that's why I run in Brooks.
