Yeah I didn’t take Luis’ interview like Wejo did. I think he just didn’t want to speak for Mike Smith, who is building up a pretty large pro group (and one that I could see adding Tuohy/Nico/Bosley etc.).
Agree with you on Fisher it was disappointing from what we’ve seen. That track is very fast for distance and the race was set up well for anyone in sub-7:30 fitness. We all kind of expected that out of Fisher but maybe he needs to be sharper with more races to be a factor in the 3,000. He wasn’t the only credentialed guy who didn’t perform well today.
Yes, hard race, but it will go better from here. Notice, all Bowerman was underperforming this last weekend (or maybe others were actually much better), then I was thinking, Grant might be not in the best shape. But part of me thought Grant is on another level after last year. But I guess he wasn't today, but more like rest of the Bowerman at the moment.
a good but not great (probably an endurance-based 3:28 guy) athlete will probably run 7:16 in a good race (pacer, low/no wind, and even better shoes). Komen's 7:20 is great but not untouchable
How far have we come with modern technology. An endurance (and, allegedly, EPO - but that goes for everybody since 199x) based 3:26 guy could only run 7:23 without magic shoes. Two of the four sub-12:40 guys could only run 7:25, while Cheptegei has not had a well-run, well-paced 3000m race AFAIK - and Komen himself, of course, is the other one.
Read the wrap-up of the Lievin meet under they byline "Letsrun.com".
It's really unprofessional how you refer to Hodgkinson throughout the piece as Keely, but (aside from the headline) refer to Ingebritsen by his last name. Not sure the reason for the double standard but if you want to be taken seriously you should strive for consistency - and address about a hundred other things that make people write off this website.

Keely has transcended the surname, just like Madonna.
Bob Tahri was the correct answer before Girma with 3:32.73
No, El Bakkali 3:31.95. My Shaheen comment was just me being an ass for another poster’s wording of the question/rejecting Aouita as a valid answer. Seems uncalled for now but February can be a dark time.
