So, I was an idiot and pushed my training too much and now have a hamstring problem. I can't get a physio appointment for around 10 days so I've been doing a bit of self-diagnosis. It sounds a lot like high hamstring tendinopathy. I have a pain deep in the glute and it extends a little down the hamstring. Sitting is uncomfortable and I can only raise my left knee to around waist height before the hamstring ache starts (I can completely hug my right knee while standing).
I've never had serious hamstring problems before so I wondered what this is supposed to feel like and how worried I should be. I read that a year feels like sharp pain but this is more of an ache. Can anyone describe what different hamstring injuries feel like?
