All of this bickering about how to help people with a low IQ competently function at job that will provide a living wage. Noone in power will budge philosophically, so the problem remains, festering.
Right now, the cognitive ability level required to work a job that pays a living wage is probably right around 75-80.
As artificial intelligence develops further, there will be fewer and fewer living wage jobs for low IQ people. And soon, there will be fewer and fewer jobs available for people with an IQ under 125. And you might be thinking, oh well I am safe with my 137 IQ, but the thousands of stupid people in your immediate area surrounding you will eat you for breakfast.
What I'm saying is, we should figure this Universal Basic Income thing out right now. The employment plight of stupid people is only going to get worse and the goal post of what defines "stupid" will be moving upwards and will eventually surpass even you brainiacs out there.
