Lots of New Balance deals going on recently, but I know nothing about the shoes but always looking for good value daily trainers. Only problem is they have about 10+ options with all similar names. What is the deal?

Just get the Rebel and be done with it.
Or if you have some specific need for a shoe consider:
880: long wearing, good grip (enough for most trails in my area), average cushion
1080: long wearing, decent grip, high cushion
I’d ignore anything else numbered unless you want a stability shoe or more of a walking shoe. It should be obvious that some of the numbered models are more fashion-focused than running, too, like the 574.
If the Rebel is too ‘race-day’ for you there is also the Propel (very similar shoe but more supportive) or the More (even more cushioned than the 1080). If you run trails, take a good look at the new Summit Unknown. Judging by the specs and how the previous model performed, it should be a killer shoe.
Thanks. Seems like there is a decent deal on the Rebel. Sounds like a great shoe.
I loved the V2 and now also have the V3 which just as good. On the V3 I went up a half size which I likely should have also done on the V2. I went with my usual 9EE size for the V2 that I wear for all other New Balance shoes and proceeded to tear the upper near the inside of my (very wide) forefoot after 300 and some miles. I am not alone in tearing the upper on the V2 so perhaps it wasn’t a sizing issue but it is something to consider. The V3 upper has been redesigned in a way that should not as susceptible to tearing but that’s a great deal on the V2. I ended up running nearly 500 miles in those shoes even with the tears because they worked so well for me.
On the advice of people on this forum, I bought a pair of the Fuelcell Rebel v3. They are now my favourite pair in my rotation!
Rebel v2 or v3: light, all around bouncy shoe. Love it for anything from jogs to LRs to light workouts. I’d say it’s a better version of the Pegasus turbo
880: Basic Mileage shoe
1080: Thicker mileage shoe. Prefer it to the 880
SC Trainer: People are pretty split on this one, personally I love it. Super high stack, bouncy, plated shoe. I use it for LRs, Long tempos and can even get some smooth intervals done in it. I’d try it in a store before though bc some ppl may not like the super high stack
Fuelcell RC 2: Carbon plated racer, super comfortable and responsive. great on the roads, a bit too soft for the track though
