Some NBC Chicago producer must have decided that watching runners for 2 hours is not entertaining. So they demanded 1.5 hours of fluff. Who is that producer? He needs to be doxed.

For reference when Chepngetich blew up last year she ran 16:39 from 15k to 20k, then 17:21, 17:52. She's still sub 16 for every 5k. This is amazing running.

It's actually making me mad. This is always the time when the break happens in the men's race and they don't care cause it's East Africans. But they also don't care about Americans because we're not even going to see Emily Sisson once while she's on route to breaking an AR.

Male pacer of Ruth Chepngetich has quite the bouncy stride. These commentators are clueless. The #1 requirement to be a running commentator is to spit out times. Be quantitative FFS...this crew is a joke!

Mantz is now running almost 5min pace with a 15:21 last 5k, I’m expecting about 2:08:30-40 type finish from him. He seems a lock for top American as Lara has now imploded and has been absorbed into the other American pack

I said this before but I believe they started wheelchairs way closer to the race than the other majors
