North Rockland is not good enough to make it to NXN as a team.
However, how fast does Tuohy need to run to make it to NCN as an individual (are all top guys in the region on the top teams?)?
is 15:40 fast enough?
I can see him possibly getting down to that.
He has already scored a 169 SR. He can surely improve further this season.
Ryan Tuohy held out for today's meet? His team won easily in Varsity 2

Feels more like an injury

Coach held him out to prepare for a big-effort race.
When is the next race? State meet right?
went to look at katelyn's past races, its state meet after the coaches invitational ,,, his goal is to go to nxn, he is a year behind his sister, katelyn started running nxn in 8th grade

you (or your team) have to run Sectional to qualify for State

Not accurate.
Rockland County Champs is next, then Section 1 Champs (NYSPHSAA “State” Qualifier), then States (NYSPHSAA) and then Feds.
okay so athletic.net is lacking
This kid isn't all that impressive. Why is there a thread about him? There are many kids faster than him and he wouldn't make many varsity squds.

He would make most of the varsity squads. But not in many national ranked teams that are considered “depth teams”. Southlake Carroll would be an example. Their JV team had a sub-16 average at districts. Not surprising since this team didn’t lose many guys. And they were good last year. Their varsity team has a freshman who is coach’s son
He got crushed by another freshman this year. There are 3 freshmen just in the unpopulated state of Iowa faster than him. Not impressed.
Most top runners have siblings who are average. No shame in it but these boards are bringing attention to this kid which will be very stressful to a 15 year old.

Tuohy was not supposed to race that day but insisted, he got beaten by his teammate in the last 10 meters. Today, Tuohy won Section 1 Championships at Bowdoin with 180 speed rating, beating his teammate by almost a minute and a half and at least five runners with a minute faster pbs than him. He was not supposed to win based on the pbs of the runners he beat comfortably, but he did. Impressive stuff.
