He's not changing gears he's just running the same approximate speed while everyone else drops off

Big track fan she was. Just loved the hammer throw
Jakob could of stopped at a water station

the UK will mourn for a year while it continues to flush itself down the toilet
4th in 11:02 is a good show for Neita, probably the best she could hope for in that field. A good year for her

11.13 (-0.8) is an exceptional performance for an 11.3 talent (at best).

I’m curious to know if Jakob can do what Kipyegon just did and drop a 52 second last lap off of a slow pace.
It doesn't matter because he'll never need to. He'll lead the whole race just to make the pace honest. There's nothing anyone can do to stop him - unless they can kick better than him off a fast pace.
Ryuji Miura of Japan 4th in steeple. No Americans.
Steeple has been pretty boring this year as El Bakkali wins everything with ease.
I'm starting to realize it's really over for Jager and maybe Coburn as well.

You are a true optimist and fan of USA steeple.

Not even close.
Blake comes in for 2nd, great showing from him. Still holds the meet record from 10 years ago.
As an American, I admit that I am really looking forward to Sydney and Athing coming up in their respective events! Huge favorites!
How would you even do a ranking of this year's 1500/mile? Curious to see what JWH thinks
Tier 1
1-Jakob
2-Wightman
Tier 2
3-Cheruiyot
4-Hoare
5-Kipsang
6-Katir
Tier 3
7-Kerr
8-Garcia-Romo
9-McSweyn
Men's 100m has really fallen off my radar since Worlds. This was the first DL men's 100m since August 6th. Bromell 9.94 FTW.

It's good to see a Japanese athlete consistently showing up on the track abroad

With his current form, he could rivalise with the best current milers (I don't say he is in the Top 3). He spend all the year training in the High altitudes of Ifran.
