Seb Coe isn't even a second rate scientist. what a clown...so of course Rojo will parrot his disgusting views.
Sebastian Coe is out of his league here. He is second rate at everything he has done EXCEPT middle distance running where his artificially enhanced testosterone levels and talent permitted him to be a superstar. Sebastian has parlayed that into a career where he has proven to be a second rate mind.

Even if you don't like Sebastian Coe, he's still right on the issue of getting males out of women's races.

Possibly Sebastian is correct but his explanation is embarrassing and shows he knows so little about the subject.

Oh! S. Coe is a biologist now? The treatment of Caster S. and others was not and is not a decision based on natural science, it is and was a decision based on whining cute female northern European 800m runners and whining cute female 800m runners of northern European heritage racing for North America. If S. Coe and I.A.A.F. made a decision based on natural science, Caster S. and athletes in the similar group would not be selectively barred from middle distance. S. Coe cannot even try to convince us that middle distance events have a strong correlation to T-levels but shot put, pole vault and 100m do not. S. Coe's position and I.A.A.F.'s decision is not a decision based on natural science but a decision based on politics.

You are completely wrong. Coe wanted to ban males from ALL women's events. It's the fault of the court, not Coe, that males are only banned from 400 - mile.

You're absolutely correct on one thing - WA did not go far enough, and should have outright banned all non-females from female events. Race has nothing to do with it. Do you think cute, European women don't compete in events outside of the 400, 800 and 1500? You're parroting a talking point that you probably think makes you seem morally superior, but really just makes you look like a dumbbass. This is not, and never was or will be, a race issue.
“We have two categories in our sport: one is age and one is gender. Age because we think it’s better that Olympic champions don’t run against 14-year-olds in community sports. And gender because if you don’t have a gender separation, no woman would ever win another sporting event.
“We’ve always been guided by the science, and the science is pretty clear: we know that testosterone is the key determinant in performance. I’m really over having any more of these discussions with second-rate sociologists who sit there trying to tell me or the science community that there may be some issue. There isn’t. Testosterone is the key determinant in performance.”
Can someone explain what Coe is referring to when he says Olympic champions don't run against 14-year-olds in community sports? I'm sure there are 14-yr-olds at parkruns all the time, and that no Olympic runner would be ineligible for such a race.
Secondly, Coe is simply quite wrong factually about testosterone being "the key determinant" in performance. If one measures testosterone levels in a variety of athletes, it is by no means assured that those with higher levels are more successful. A good primer on the subject:

That particular decision of selective exclusion was based on data-driven studies of elite athletes by Bermon and others commissioned in part by WA; see reference posted on the first page. CAS’ expert panels have testified that testosterone is a significant determinant of athletic performance, but after Chand’s case and subsequently Semenya’s, the onus shifted on to WA to show that their biology provided them an unfair advantage as opposed to the athletes having to prove the opposite. The science on testosterone turned out to be nuanced and is evolving as we speak.

I watched most of but not all of the women's pole vault.I did not see anything resembling a man amongst them. The shot put had some big girls out there, but they still looked like women. I have seen a few female sprinters who made me curious but they didn't advance to the finals. So I believe they were female after all, they just looked less feminine than the rest of the field. I mean no offense to those women. Just an observation.
You might be on to something. Silicone on top. Reduction surgery on the bottom. Who the hell would ever know the difference. I don't know what this person's pronoun is but whatever she/he/it is doing they should continue on with my blessings.
Really the real victims are the athletes who get put into these awkward situations because they’re told their whole live sleep that it’s okay until the results become pretty evident. All the dsd athletes I’m sure they’re lovely ladies, the steeplechaser, she could totally smoke me probably even in a flat 3k and I’m a pretty fast man. I’m glad coe is stepping up, it’s simply unfair to all parties involved to keep this charade up.

You are a bar stool natural scientist just like S. Coe. Thank you for sounding off.
Lastly, the underhanded remark at second-rate sociologists is completely uncalled for.
Agree, it looks bad on someone in his position and is likely to weaken his argument. I don’t find myself agreeing with many arguments coming from sociologists, but would never diss them as a group, especially on record.
