Great Oak dominates this race. No R Cortes. Lennox missing as well.
Says Lennox ran 26:29 but someone else must have worn his chip or bib

Whitney has a nice 1-5 grouping
Oakdale has a solid 1-4, but their 5th is pretty far back
It seems like Whitney has some guys missing from last year.
Senior jamieson was their #1 last year but hasn’t run a race.
Tajiri had a 16:27 PR but here he ran a 17:30.
And Olivera from Oakdale went from 16:49 last year / sub 10 in track to a 18:24 this year.
Shame to see talent disappear like that.
San Clemente boys dominate. Trabuco hills in second.
both teams will be really good next.
San Clemente returns 5 of their top 8.
Trabuco Hills returns 5 of their top 6.
JSerra girls team dominates and returns all of their top 5
Ventura boys take Ventura County Championships with 36 points (NP did not run). The scorers are all juniors. They should be a top contender in CIF next year.
Yes and Ventura also has a freshman at #6 who will probably step up and help the scorers out in case someone gets hurt. Also some sophs that can step up too.
Next year, Ventura, Trabuco Hills and San Clemente will probably be the best 3 teams.
Buchanan and Mira Costa actually have the best nonsenior 5K times somehow. Oh well, they will be teams to watch too
Those Hoka Milesplit results are screwed up. It doesn’t include the fast, final boys heat.
Side note: I don’t know why the major websites ignore HOKA Postal results. They must have the wrong sponsor or something.
2022 Varsity Best:
Total Time: 49:42.50 (9:57 avg)*
Date Ran: Oct 15, '22
CA #5, US #1
(Of the times that were submitted of course)
2022 Sophomore Best:
Total Time: 52:42.20 (10:32 avg)*
Date Ran: Oct 15, '22
CA #11, US #4
This does not include freshman Isaac Abbott (10:19)
Next year it is very likely that Reynolds will be the only senior scoring for this team. Sophomore class looking good
California #5 but US #1?
Missing a digit. It’s US #17 for Jesuit. Girls results were more impressive.
I tried to do the team times, only including returning runners. I did it all by hand so I may have had a mistake (or two), but my results were:
Trabuco Hills: 76:33
San Clemente: 76:50
Dana Hills 78:00
Tesoro: 79:12
El Dorado: 79:59
JSerra 80:16
JSerra's boys are interesting because they have three really good fr. and a really good soph. Looking at how they built their girls program, and that they had 4 boys run 4:10 in the 1600m from 2011-2019, they could be an emerging top team.
JSerra boys finishers grades in this order (based on the merge result)
10-9-9-9-9-12-9-9-9-9
Newbury park has 3 really good freshmen
Any thoughts on Redwood?
anyone surprised by how close they were to Granada?
