Holy s*** that was brutal. Seth is 100% responding to LetsRun with this one.
"I'M NOT COACHING, NOT DOING IT!!!"

Digging that up that little bit is gold. Confirms everything LRC has speculated about trying to get away from the family.
For those of you who don’t watch, he takes a bowl of cereal to his car… no, he’s not eating while driving on his way to the mountains this time. He just talks about how he hates the screaming from his kids so he literally retreats to his car just to eat a bowl of raisin bran.
Also thought it was funny how he tried to turn the pouring of that bowl of cereal into the most epic thing ever.
Guys, I actually was laughing at today's video then and then I got kinda sad. I got kinda sad because.. The man is falling apart. Body is falling apart. Mentally falling apart. Financially falling apart. I feel bad for the kids especially...when they have to take care of papa Seth in retirement.
Got to give him props for pinning this comment, and responding to each point

I thank you for being here and taking the time to watch today’s vlog. Happy to address all your questions. have a great day ___
—Be himself and drop the whole DEE GEE ARRRR!!! schtick and persona.
Thankfully, this channel is not about me, its about the community, hence DGR. We’re a family, which you may not be familiar with if you’ve only been subscribed for 2-3 years, rather than 4-6 years.
—Get a 9-5 job and begin vlogging about balancing work, family life, and running.
I don’t want a pay cut, wouldn’t be smart for my family. As always, “family first.”
—Quit the "mad scientist" Get a coach or buy some books about exercise physiology and proper training.
What fun would that be?!? “I love to fail” (and learn from my mistakes) The process is way more important on this earth, for me.
—Program his channel better. Three videos a week: a shoe review, a lifestyle piece, and a weekly update on his training with loads of pretty B-roll and mountain vistas. Three high quality productions and not seven ho-hum episodes of just winging it.
Your best point so far, but again, did you hear what I said at 2:35 in the video? Consistency is way more important to DGR than quality; again tying back to the 4-6 year community aspect. #doorknob
—Eat right and put on about 5-7 pounds. It will serve him well and his body will absorb the training better.
Thanks Mom, or Dad : )
—Focus on getting quality sleep. Cut out the caffeine and staying up all night fretting what you will vlog the next day.
Thanks Mom, or Dad : )
Whomever you are, DGR is here to build you up, not tear you down. Nothing but gratitude that you come and check out the channel. Keep chasing your dreams wherever you are around the world. Would love to learn your name so we can keep communicating and supporting each other?
He just doesn't get it.
How refreshingly honest he is in that vlog, and his voice and way of speaking is so different to his newer vlogs.
Did he really a answered that????
what a prick!
Seth is right on this one. He is not able to coach himself, so he better stays away from coaching others.
The gaslighting of him insisting it's not about him? How does he showcase the community at all? It's 100% about him. Nice try, Seth.
And failing is cool, experimenting is cool, but when you aren't following the known fundamentals of something that is just stupid. It's like him jumping out of a tall tree to see if he can fly, thinking he is discovering something new about gravity.
Coaching is for people who know what they are doing. Seth, on the other hand, has no idea what he is doing when it comes to training, nutrition...

1. “This channel is not about me” The 2000+ daily vlogs with Seth as the main character say otherwise
2. “As always, family first” The video that was just posted in here with him going to his car to eat a bowl of cereal to avoid screaming kids says otherwise. Not to mention the constant trips away from the family. Sure, he’s talking about the financials of taking care of his family first, but he could have the same amount of success or more with being more efficient with his time and being around the family more.
3. “I love to fail (and learn from my mistakes)” Who says that, that they love to fail? Most people will say something along the lines of not being afraid to fail or understanding the importance of failure, but nobody likes to fail. Obviously he loves to fail more than he loves to learn from his mistakes, because he’s had plenty of opportunity to learn and give himself a better chance for success.
4. “Consistency is way more important to DGR than quality” So he’s pretty much admitting he has a s****y product
5. “Thanks Mom, or Dad” Either thinks he knows exactly what he needs with nutrition and sleep or thinks he is invincible and can get through that training on less than people suggest. Takes a lot to have a sacral stress fracture, and a lack of nutrition and sleep is a big part of that. If he truly cared about his progress in running, he would recognize that there are no shortcuts with sleeping and eating. No amount of KT tape makes up for a lack of sleep and calories.

This whole interaction is hilarious. Tbf I don't think Seth nor the commenter are really "arguing" in good faith, but Seth's responses are so insincere and have that stereotypical Christian-fake-nice-but-really-passive-aggressive quality.
"Thankfully, this channel is not about me, its about the community, hence DGR. We’re a family, which you may not be familiar with if you’ve only been subscribed for 2-3 years, rather than 4-6 years."
-- Lol. Seth has probably the least interaction with other runners / the general running community of any of the running Youtube channels that I've seen. He's completely absorbed in his little bubble and DGR is only a "family" to the extent that they heap histrionic praise on him in the comments section or send him heartfelt written letters and handmade gifts for him to casually toss aside on camera.
"I don’t want a pay cut, wouldn’t be smart for my family."
-- Lmao. So you earn so much via YouTube that a traditional salary would actually be a pay cut for you? That's quite a claim. Then why are you shamelessly begging viewers for money, begging Nike for $200 shoes, and carrying on about inflation literally in this very video? I guess that's possibly true when you're not really qualified for an actual high-paying job so your reference points are driving for Uber, wedding videographer, and starting some religious non-profit. Anyway, if that's true, show us your YouTube earnings Seth, plenty of others do so.
"Consistency is way more important to DGR than quality"
-- He is so stupid I can't even believe it sometimes. At least he tacitly acknowledges the low quality of his content I guess.
"Thanks Mom, or Dad : )"
-- You know he's just raging inside lol.
Before Seth cracked his pelvis, he seemed to never run from the new mansion. Previously, at the smaller house, he had all sorts of runs he'd do, I could do them if you dropped me there.
At the mansion, it's either drive to downtown Denver, run there, hang out in a coffee shop, or go the high country for the day.

You act like he wouldn't just take a plan he found online and send it to them. Something he is apparently incapable of doing for himself lol

* We can't go back in time and sub for 4-6 years, what kind of standpoint is this? This also sidesteps the point. Seth seems to put on an act on his channel now, it has nothing to do with building a community. We want the real Seth, not the county fair sleazy salesman vibe he has decided to start putting out.
—Get a 9-5 job and begin vlogging about balancing work, family life, and running.
I don’t want a pay cut, wouldn’t be smart for my family. As always, “family first.”
* How would adding a source of income reduce your income?
—Quit the "mad scientist" Get a coach or buy some books about exercise physiology and proper training.
What fun would that be?!? “I love to fail” (and learn from my mistakes) The process is way more important on this earth, for me.
* Loving to fail explains a lot.. How can any thinking runner be inspired by someone who isn't interested in learning how to run faster?
—Program his channel better. Three videos a week: a shoe review, a lifestyle piece, and a weekly update on his training with loads of pretty B-roll and mountain vistas. Three high quality productions and not seven ho-hum episodes of just winging it.

* I think what he is trying to say is that daily vlogs reap more income... Even if the videos are ridiculous.
—Eat right and put on about 5-7 pounds. It will serve him well and his body will absorb the training better.
Thanks Mom, or Dad : )
* Again, not interested in running faster it seems.

* No, DGR exists to give Seth $. Seth is fostering parasocial relationships where fans will quite literally send him cash. DGR is a family the same way corporations say to their employees they are all a family. It distorts the perception of being in a certain kind of relationship, and allows those exploited to believe they actually enjoy their exploitation, and makes it easier to convince them of something that they otherwise would not believe, such as that they actually enjoy the dysfunctional situation.
His replies to the LRC post were pretty much what I'd expect from this manchild.
To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls in $80-120k/year all in from the DGR running empire, between ad revenue, subscriptions, merch, sales through runner's warehouse, etc. For someone with no actual job experience and an ancient irrelevant degree, it would be hard to start off at higher than $80k/year in an entry-level job.
If it' s Family First, then why drive to a track to do Core work? You can do that at home.
