His new training (lifting) plan is to do the opposite of what everyone serious about strength training does, splitting up his training plan after body parts. His profession hinges on him having a strong core, so now he is planning to go to the gym 5 days a week, and what does he get out of it? 2 days of core training... This is like running every thuesday and saturday. No bueno.

I took a look at that video. He's losing his mind. That stupid headlamp that he turns on and hangs around his neck while he is eating in a lit room. Why?
He really needs to do a how I would have raced Zegama video where he alludes to winning had he gone. That would be peak Seth.

I somehow respect his dedication to keep making these Vlog style videos: Set up the camera on the table to film yourself eating eggs. Film different perspectives of closeup shots of the eggs. Set up the camera in the garage, film yourself driving out and closing the garage door. But then you have to open the garage door again to go back and grab the camera. It' s hilarious to me.
DGR FAM-A-LEEE!!!!!! Oh boy oh boy...where do I begin? I'm just going to say it... I train to compete. I compete to train. Pike's Peak? I ran it to win it. But Zegama? It just wasn't happening. According to True Love, if i ran that, it would have been over for me, until July at least.
25 mile training run with 3000 ft of vert? We got the FKT baby, should be A-OK on the hamstring. But 6 hours on an airplane? Can't risk the beating my hamstring will take. Talked it over with True Love and we agree.
So I'm adjusting. I'm learning about it. When to stop running and when to start running. When to lift weights. Yep, that's the reason for the hamstring tendinopathy folks. I'm taking this seriously. I called the PT and got it on camera. I didn't actually go to the PT, but boy oh boy I've had my Eureka moment folks. I DIDN'T HAVE MY LIFTING IN ORDER. But I'm just going to say it. I haven't been great with my core. So now I am making the announcement: I'm just going to say it, from here on out, 2 days of core, every single week!

I couldn’t get through the whole video but also find the set up shots hilarious. Especially as he seems to be unraveling slightly over the last few months it’s incredible he is still taking the time to set up and get all of those stupid shots. It’s almost like a normal vlog would throw in one or two of those shots from time to time in their videos but Seth thinks he has to fully document breakfast and leaving his house for every video in a painstaking and ridiculous manner.
I noticed that too. Must take ages to get anything done during the day.
But soon he can use his kids as cheap camera people. Then we can see everything from 4-5 angles at the same time. That will be the future of vlogging.
Today’s video is hilarious. He filmed himself running and used a yogaesque voiceover and the music is that new age type stuff you hear in a massage studio. I used to enjoy tuning in to him before I went out to run in the morning before work but tune in less frequently since he quit his real job. Today is the day I finally unsubscribed. My wife will be disappointed because she loves to tease me about the ridiculousness of his videos.

Considering that most people with hamstring tendinopathy take months to heal and have to take significant time away from running, I would like to know the name of SJD's PT. Why? Because we have witnessed a MIRACLE and this must be reported to The Vatican for immediate investigation and validation! If this PT can cure someone else with the same speed, then they need to be beatified and made a saint!
I am astounded! Two weeks ago, Seth was moping in a coffee shop and seeking a second opinion. He had to drop out of a sure win at Zegama. Now, he is fully healed! God be praised!!!
Speaking of BACK baby, let's organize a Webb vs. Demoor BACK BABY challenge. What would be a fair distance? I think maybe 10K. The winner will officially be declared BACK baby.
Obviously he never saw anyone for treatment, or if he did, it wasn't a real doctor. I think he just realized how much his viewership will drop without actual running content, so he's forced to start doing it again. If his channel dies, then everything he's built for his family dies with it.
Indeed. HHT has been the only major injury I've had as a 50+ runner, and it took me 6 months. For at least a month, my left glute/top hamstring ached so badly I could not drive a car without wincing, and that's with taking round the clock painkillers and anti-inflammatories. Took a long time to get back and walk longer and longer and finally running again.
