The murderer has angry issues that needs to be addressed. Blaming the male isn't cause for her to commit murder. She was shaking with anger. Soinds like breaking up with her wasn't an option. The root cause of her actions is her anger issue.
The boyfriend/partner should share some of the blame. If anyone knew the murderer’s intention, it was the boyfriend… the one who kept seeing the other cyclist after he reconciled with his girlfriend, purchased a gun for his girlfriend and likely had a crapload of arguments with his girlfriend about the on going relationship… even if it was platonic in the “…lonely niche sport”.
Also, not concerned about the murderer’s “anger“ issues… she’s got life in prison, life on the run issues now. I don’t doubt that the rest of her miserable life will be worse.
Criminal liability requires a crime to have been committed by that person. Based on what’s been reported thus far, his only liability is in the online world and that is that he is a man.
The trial you remember rather vaguely indeed was for much more than “suggesting”.
Civil liability for what? Civil liability requires something like a breach of contract, negligence of statutory duty, fraud, defamation, or the like.
From the texts reported in the affidavit, it’s pretty clear that Wilson during her visit to Austin from CA texted Strickland that she understood he probably just wanted to be friends based on his behavior when the three of them happened to be at the same event, but she clearly was interested in reigniting something more and so they met up, which made Armstrong jealous and seemingly drove her to kill Wilson.
The actual person who was cheating was caught, but it was the other partner who was murdered. As a culture we must really hate women, even the women do
This has nothing to do with hating women. If anything, the man in question liked both women. Social media seems to be too easily inclined to blame the man because they seem to think women can’t have moral failings even though Wilson based on her texts knew the dumpster fire into which she was getting, but it is unbecoming to blame a dead person. The only person with hate here was Armstrong and her hatred was for exactly one woman, not womankind.
It is far more common for a man to murder another man for hooking up with his woman, so nothing sexist here.
Armstrong was an adult. No one can "make" you kill someone because they cheat on you or cheat with your significant other. This is 100% on Armstrong. If I found out my wife, and this was just a boyfriend/girlfriend situation so either could leave at any time without involving lawyers, was cheating on me I'd get a divorce, not kill her or the other guy (or gal).
Stop trying to shift the blame away from anyone other than the murderer.
At the end of the day only one person pulled the trigger and that person is to blame. Unless they are mentally weak, and even in that case it is their own fault they are mentally weak, you can't make someone that doesn't want to kill into a murderer.
They weren't even married so either of them could have walked away with nothing more than a few boxes and a moving truck, no legal strings were attached.
One of Colin Strickland's main sponsors doesn't see it that way and has cancelled his contract:
"Specialized, one of Strickland’s sponsors, confirmed to CyclingTips that it had terminated its contract with him and that he would no longer be a sponsored athlete for the brand."
And yes, someone can make someone else carry out a murder by psychological manipulation as we see here or by command as is done in police and military. It's done all the time. Armstrong pulled the trigger but it was Colin Strickland who carried out the psychological manipulations to set up the situation and he is the one that bought and supplied the murder weapon when he knew full well what it likely would be used for after Armstrong looked at his phone calls and messages.
All Armstrong needed to do was look at the phone, see he was a cheater, and walk away. No need to let herself be manipulated even if I thought that was what happened here (and I don't).
Let's see who is actually charged. If you hand me a gun and prove to me my wife is cheating on my I still wouldn't kill anyone because I'm not a murderer.

Lol good luck pinning this murder on Strickland, buddy.

I also see you left out the most important part of the sentence you quoted so let me do that for you:
Stickland has not been implicated in the crime and is not saught by law enforcement. Specialized, one of Strickland’s sponsors, confirmed to CyclingTips that it had terminated its contract with him and that he would no longer be a sponsored athlete for the brand.
I'm not sure why Specialized terminated the contract and the report doesn't say. For all we know it was expiring anyway on 5/31 and they just cancelled it a week early.

Even if Specialized terminated the contract because of this incident, it would probably have been because of social media pressure and/or the diminished or negative value of his brand given the social media heat, not necessarily because they think he did something legally wrong. Being canceled these days hardly means you are legally in the wrong, just that you don’t have a job anymore and can’t easily get new work, so your life is shattered because twitter hates you.
It's interesting to follow this thread, and compare/contrast to the Brian Laundrie one. This one has everyone walking on glass, and posts being deleted. Laundrie was the Wild Wild West.
