No, he has nothing to do with my successful DANCAN system. Andreas is a very great talent and I told him some years ago I predicted him to be a great runner. He was severe injured for a longer time but is now really back on the road to success.
Almgren a former 800m runner changed his training a few years ago, in the direction of the Bakken/Ingrebrigtsen model. Lots of threshold, high mileage. He did a solo indoor 3000m two years ago in 7.42 in Vaporflys. 7.41 last summer outdoors. Huge talent, held back by numerous injuries. Born 1995. Todays race was probably the best by a swede since Anders Gärderuds olympic gold in 1976.
Why do you even predict something like this if you don't have any clue? 5/100 too slow for JI and Tefera already lost contact with 300 to go - come on.

Good info. Off the top of my head, Kalle Berglund in the 2019 WC 1500 final might have an edge, simply due to the bigger stage.

One thing disappointing about the East African runners is that they are not consistent.
Ingerbrigsten has almost a medical staff arround him.
Here we are with the paradoxal performances of:
S. Tefera Y. Kejelcha
S. Barega (yes we can add this one)
Even Kiplimo had a lot of flaws in the last year.
Jakob's most underrated trait is his mental fortitude.
He races a lot and has almost never had a blow-up or even a sub-par race. I struggle to think of another runner who you just knew was going to do something great every time they stepped on the track (outside of Farah in championship races).
agreed. it's amazing. it's what makes the great ones legends. very few can handle the pressure
