You would have to be a complete imbecile to think that running 59.9, 59.9, 101.9 & 58.9 was Hobbs Kessler's best effort. He cam do that in his sleep.
What's much more reasonable is that he was pacing his teammate/mentor to a rather significant accomplishment of breaking 4 minutes for the mile for a 20th consecutive year.
Those saying why would they travel to Milrose to do it? The easy answer is that Nick seems to be struggling lately, he probably told Ron it was now or never and frankly I wouldn't be surprised at all if he retired sometime in the very near future.
