What the f*** has Broe done this year?! Nothing, in relation to the other three.
US Championship 5K record (13:12.XX).
Bah! I forgot. Sorry Tim.
my vote goes to webb.
Meb----in a landslide.
Justin Gatlin for his world championship 100/200 double gold, which has only been done once before. He will also be the IAAF overall winner (male) it appears.
US Distance runners simply aren't on the same planet.
I've put forth about as much effort, and have accomplished about as much as these other sorry asses.
Webb got the american 2-mile record, ran a 3:48 mile and 13:10 5k, and accomplished probably a few other things I can't remember at the moment.

Sprinters aren't runners.
I hate runners that try and make this statement. It reminds me of rednecks that say runners aren't athletes.
Lagat broke 13 in the 5k
POPE...........american badass

Lagat ran the fastest 1500 and the second-fastest mile in the WORLD this year. He was by far the fastest 5000 runner in the US. He was faster than Webb at 1500, mile, 3000, and 5000. Although he was ineligible to run in the WCs because of his recent change in citizenship, he placed higher than Webb (or any other US middle- or long-distance runner) in the major track meets, including the GP finals. Among middle- and long-distance runners, Lagat was by far the top US performer in 2005.
OK.....
I'll start the Hell storm....
