And is it the same as you do faster work with?

Lately Asics Evoride 2. I also use it for short intervals and hills. When I want a boost I run in the Endorphin Pro.
Saucony Endorphin Speed - fast, light, responsive, and plenty of cushion. I also use this for interval days
Over the last few years my rotation has been:
Nike LT 2
Adidas Adios 2
Adidas Boston 6 & Nike LT 3
Nike LT 3 & Adidas SL20
Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit
The Nike LT 3 doubled for track reps 400m+.
I've also used the Nike Streak 4 for some longer reps and fartleks. My Nike 4% midsoles fell apart recently and are trash. Moved on to Next % for track work reps 1200+.
Brooks Ghost for easy runs + long runs. Brooks Hyperion Tempo for anything faster.
nike tempo next%, it feels really good <6:00 pace. Ive used it on the track but dont really like it for anything faster than 5:00 pace

Love this shoe.
Long runs: Nike Invincible
Easy/recovery runs: Nike Invincible
Threshold runs: Nike Invincible
Strides: Nike Invincible
Intervals: Nike Invincible
Races: New Balance MD-X
I second this. I love this show for harder long runs and fartleks and tempo runs. Anything on the track i do in vaporflys or spikes tho. Excited for the streakflys so that i don’t ruin my achilles with the stack height on the track turns. The Tempo Next % does not feel great under 5:00 pace, and feels bad at 5000 pace or faster for me, but it’s perfect for threshold running.

I have multiple shoes I like to rotate for threshold days. First off, the endorphin lineup is excellent for anything in that range. As much as i like the next % they are better for hard workouts since their durability isn’t the best.
Recently picked up the Boston 10. It’s a heavier option but once you get rollin’ it feels really good! I did a faster track workout in them the other day and they didn’t disappoint.
I’ve also used the Carbon X2, excited for the 3 version! Every now and then I’ll throw on the Adidas Adios Pro 2.
Reebok forever floatride energy 2 for anything faster than easy run pace
I routinely get over 700 k's out of next %'s. And at that point the outsole and the upper are still in great condition, its just the zoom x at my forefoot gets too compressed. I've gone up to 950k's in a pair.
Have a couple in the rotation - newer pair for workouts, another pair with over 350k's for everything else. Restock when they are on sale.
Vaporfly Next % if I’m really practicing race pace otherwise Tempo Next%
Before I got into the Nikes the Boston was my go to threshold shoe.
I always get the feeling that Nike themselves are on threads like this. Anyway,
I have been wearing asics Magic Speed. Really think they're great. I used to wear something little more minimal like NB Zante.

"So what do you do for a living?"
"I work for Nike."
"What do you do there?"
"I post on Letsrun!"
Not a shill, just a fan - of the next% anyway.
Other shoe I like for tempo in my rotation is the old mom shoe I got on sale - Skechers Razor Excess. Skechers are probably the most underrated shoes. Weight and hyperburst are always very solid.
I ask because currently I use typical flats for threshold running and faster work but I consider changing when I retire these. I'm thinking of using daily trainers for threshold for more cushioning since I don't notice that big of a difference for the threshold work.
Anyone use daily trainers for threshold such as for instance Pegasus'? (for instance I classify Evoride as daily trainers due to its cushioning).
1:49.84 - 800m Freshmen National Record - Cooper Lutkenhaus (check this kick out!!)
Jakob on Oly 1500- “Walk in the park if I don’t get injured or sick”
Emma Coburn to miss Olympic Trials after breaking ankle in Suzhou
VALBY has graduated (w/ honors) from Florida, will she go to grad school??
