With the corporate world being more vicious than ever, I applaud her for forging her own path. Companies see people as numbers/widgets and are more likely to cut people/RIF them at any moment's notice...

Huge especially at Boston to notch a great time! Speaking from experience here - not to detract from her performance at all, but running out of Wave 1 can be much easier from the mental side of performance having guys and girls to race alongside. Starting from the pro field - while awesome - adds a layer of difficulty with significantly less people to work with. You run the risk of solo’ing the effort or only working with a handful of people in championship style of racing just depending on how you are feeling on the day and how the packs shake out. Wave 1 and onward, you have a metric ton of people to work with and off of which definitely helps if you have a couple of rough patches on a course like Boston.
So, again this is not a negative dock on her performance at all! Just think that the statement of Wave 1 making it seem like a MORE impressive feat may not be quite so.
I would be excited to see her toe the line in a pro field next and dice it up championship style!
She was representing Brooks last May when she ran the Green Bay Marathon. Tough to tell from photos from yesterday what singlet she was wearing but it looks like she is wearing Saucony Endorphin Elites.
She is one classy woman. Hope to see more of her.
She wasn't sponsored by Brooks, she just happened to wear a Brooks singlet.
Anyone know why Rohrer did not run the Trials? She ran 2:30:52 at Boston last spring to qualify. Nothing on her instagram to indicate an injury and no mention of the Trials.
