Lulz - 200m short of 10 miles and massive net downhill... the CIM of workouts.
When Toyota USA cancelled due to COVID-19 last year that began a chain of layoffs for many of our friends.

From the context of the workouts caption surely you’d assume he’s running in non-hoka super shoes or he’s poking fun at letsrun for saying Hokas suck
NAZ Elite Men and Women are 2 different teams.
The men’s team lacks leadership and constantly doubt the system. The women just get the job done.
The women cleaned house a long time ago getting rid of VanAlstine and Kanuho and creating a good group that blends well together. The men have mocked Ben for years.
I do find it humorous that not a single NAZ elite female has made a point of supporting Fauble.
Listen up plebs, Ben Rosario is an unqualified coach. Can you please explain to me how someone who ram d3, operated a shoe store, is all the sudden in charge of coaching and managing elite level distance runners? I’ve followed their training and it is stupid. There’s a difference between getting fit to run and fit to race. 20-30x300-400m on asphalt? Every workout on asphalt? Why is it that the NN running marathon team in Kenya still does track work? Because they understand the importance of developing efficiency and speed. Not to mention the Hoka racing flats suck balls.

Pretty much, and this is exactly what happens when you have far fewer funded groups for women than for men. The women's group can choose from more serious and accomplished candidates even at the NAZ level of funding and easily cycle-out and replace non-hackers. With the men, the available pool to choose from is a lot smaller with more competition from other funded groups in recruiting. On top of that, the coach and sponsor aren't exactly the sexiest out there; Hansons have seen similar outcomes of late. You wind up with guys who bounce out of other groups for various reasons, like Vaughn, or guys most fans haven't heard of coming out of college, like Fauble, Smith, Linkletter. Not exactly the strongest foundation on which to build. Rosario is a really good guy who puts his soul into his contribution to the sport, he deserves to have some really good guys around him along with the really good ladies.
As for Linkletter's alleged shade, nobody was offering him any better coming out of college. No brand or group saw much upside in him other than Hoka. He probably never signs a contract better than his first one.

Rosario ran division two and was an all American. He won the US Marathon Championships. He ran in the Olympic trials & is a 4:01 miler. He was pro runner for Hanson’s. In addition he’s coached several athletes successfully which gives you credibility. In charge of runners? Dude literally built the program from ground up & got Hoka behind him for it. You my friend are a #hater
Anyone have any idea when & If Hoka is going to make a legit super shoe?

I've seen some promos for Hoka shoes with "super-critical foam" (something like Hyperburst?) coming out in 2022
Oh wow division 2 how cool… not. Everyone knows d2 and d3 athletes rarely ever stack up against d1. Just checked iaaf, I don’t see anywhere that says he was a US champ and I see his mile pb his 4:03 high which isn’t that good. Seriously 20 kids in college break 4:00 every year. You my friend is a liar. I can think of countless college coaches that could run a better program.
Oh and everyone and their mom can run in the Olympic trials for the marathon now a days so another moot point. Jog on kid.

Yes, the carbon x 3 is supposed to have an improved foam. If it is on par with Nike/Asics TBD.
The other factor is how they combine foam and plate for that "trampoline" effect. If it just rolls, I don't think it is enough.

Actually Ben was second to Mbarak Hussein who had just become a US Citizen. -- Twin Cities 2005.

Oh my apologies friend ;) 2nd in US Champs 05 I believe and 4:03 mile not 4:01. I can almost guarantee faster than any PR you have any ran or potentially coached in your life. That's great that there are great college coaches. That's not the point. He built his own program and attracted runners that wanted to run for him.
Come on. He did not build his own program. He took over a group of successful athletes that were part of McMillan Elite. When adidas dropped the group Greg McMillan left. Most of these athletes were living in Flag. Ben swooped in to coach the group.
That is like saying Pete Julian created his own group.
Totally different, actually. You're weird, even for this place.

People love to hate on people that are doing stuff they couldn't do themselves. It's too bad you have so much anger in your heart for Ben. Pretty inspiring what he's willing to do for our sport. You can hang back on the message boards and smack talk everyone else. You are missing out.
Can anyone comment on whether "A Time and a Place" is worthwhile? I'm interested in watching it, but $15 is a little steep unless it's really good.
$15 isn't steep unless you're low income. If you're a fan of the sport, it's worthwhile.
