He left BIG ND for the money and before the playoffs, and he is trying to take his staff with him too. He is gutting the program right before the playoffs. Apparently he gave ZERO notice. He just left in the night.

Yeah a little shady, but the hilarious thing is that all the ND fans couldn't shut up over the past decade about wanting to fire him. But now that he left them, they're all up in arms about the injustice. He was never appreciated and butted heads with the admin the whole time.

He probably has so much dirt on those religious nutjobs I wouldn't be surprised if they continue to have him on their payroll.
Think he got tired of trying to recruit only to hear .....he can't make the academics, won't have to worry about that at LSU.

I'm sure 100M will help him sleep at night. This is the USA...our employers can typically get rid of a worker "without cause" and so it is fair for a worker to leave for any reason, especially when you have 100M reasons to leave. Only in the sports world do people think chasing money is a bad thing.
ND is overrated each year. They get by on past reputation and by beating up on weak schools like the service academies. If they joined the Big Ten, they'd be middle pack. Bottom quarter of the SEC.

This more true than anyone knows. Places like Mich and Stanford and ND have limitations (not much) but yes limi tations with academics and having to be on campus. You go to OSU, Bama, Clemson, you dont have to step foot in a classroom, grades of little importance. They asked Justin Fields what he thought of OSU, he said he never saw it. I assume he took online classes, but jeez. I think thats clearly attractive to recruits who just want to get to the show without being bothered about eligibility all the time. Im not judging per se, college football is indeed the minor leagues and colleges treat it that way. But its also not fair since all schools dont have those rules. Mo money better players is attractive. But yes, all he had to do was the minimum and he could have left under better circumstances. But he took the low road. What an idiot. Most winning coach in ND history, give a little heart felt speech and they will remember you forever, thats it! But no, just text and leave. He literarlly accepted the offer while on the recruiting trail. Almost as low as bobby petrino.
Brian Kelly will always have blood on his hands wherever he goes.
I pray for the Good Ol'Boys of Baton Rouge to remember Declan and fight for the Child of God Declan was.

Coaches get fired with zero notice. It cuts both ways.
Kiffin got fired at USC at the airport on the return flight from a road game.
College football is big time with big money. It’s a cutthroat business. Kill or be killed. Maybe not the way it should be, but that’s how it is.

No. After all the protection of pedophile priests that went on for decades and might still happen today, the Catholics don't get to point the finger at anyone else, ever. The Catholic Church is literally the bottom of the "dirt" barrel.
There is no dirt worse than the systemic protection of men who rape children who are entrusted to them.
