Hiwot Gebrekidan is named by the organisers as the favourite to finish first among the ladies. It’s her first major and before her great win in Milan, her best time was 2.23.50 from winning Guangzhou in 2019. I didn’t include her in my top 30 marathoners then but she now sits at 23. If Hiwot can repeat her Milan time of 2.19.35, she will win.
Runner-up may be Purity Rionoripo, winner in Prague near the end of May in 2.20.14. Here is my profile from then:

29th ranked by me is Guteni Shone, second in Dubai last year in 2.20.11. Previous best was 2.23.32 when second in Houston in 2015.
Fourth of five ranked top 50: Purity Rionoripo
Purity has two times sub 2.21: in 2019 in Valencia and 2017 in Paris. Has a top 5 in a Major, Chicago in 2016.
Purity ranked 34 then the last in my top 50 is Bedatu Hirpa, still only 22yo with a PB of 2.21.32 when third in Frankfurt in 2018. Also 5th in Tokyo in 2019 and third last year in Dubai in 2.21.55.
