Not sure who predicted that but pretty sure any logical T&F fan would have claimed her a lock for the gold in 5000m.
The 10,000m slightly lower odds, but still pretty much a lock for gold.
The 1500m is where she is not a lock.
Why is everyone thinking the 10K will be easy for her? What about Giday? She is the 5K/10k/15K record holder

Just recall how the superb wavelight record times helped Cheptegei in the 10k and the Ethiopian women in the 5k. These are very different conditions. Gidey is strong but she ran barely faster than Hassan with wavelight guidance and cannot be expected to force a hard pace early on in hot and humid conditions. Hassan will just tail her (as she did in that 1 hour WR race). Of course it's not going to be easy and probably after 5 races within a week Hassan will be worse for wear. But there is no way that Gidey can drop her easily, it might work but will take a tremendous daring and effort.
Who predicted no golds? The doubters start now, which includes me. I don’t know how she can win the 1500 over a runner who pulled away from her with ease a few weeks ago. I’m a huge fan but

The truth doesn't require help. Or peds. But you might require help when the truth does come out.

Where are people saying the 10k will be easy? I haven't seen anyone say that.

I think this is based on the last World Champs. I can see a repeat. Gidey takes it out hard, keeps the pace honest, but Hassan can live with any pace she can set. And Hassan still has a brutal kick.
I'm not too confident on Kipyegon either. Monaco was tough for Hassan but she's a 3:51 runner as well, she's more than capable of taking down Kipyegon
There were doubters? I mean, there are justifiably concerns about whether she is clean, but I can't see how anybody can doubt that she is best female distance runner who ever lived, in peak form.

Doubters? There aren't many now who doubt that Hassan is totally doped. They won't have been silenced.
Couldn't you keep up with her in the bedroom lastnight?

I honestly thought Tsegay would give her more of a challenge. To drop a 14:13/ 3:53 runner like that is seriously insane, and I thought Obiri ran excellent just couldn't match the last 200. Tsegay looked to me to be watching what everyone was doing too much and should've moved earlier, but easy to say that in retrospect. Obiri continues her consistent performances at WC/OG and always peaks at the right time. Hassan closing in 57?! She wasn't even in the lead at the bell.
There always the one that can break a rule and come out smelling like roses.
She broke Mo’ s rule #2 be in the lead at the start of the last lap and she broke it by a lot.
Eh, doubtful of what? EPO or golds? This further enhanced my confidence in PED use. Did I lack confidence that EPO was capable of maximizing recovery prior to this? No. I just had no idea it was THIS powerful. Why do the Brojos choose to turn a blind eye to certain athletes, but not others?

In great conditions, money on Giday. She will absolutely not push her self to the limit in this oppressive weather. No pacers. No wavelights.
This will be interesting.
Niiya. The Japanese will be the unofficial pace maker as she has done in the past and will keep the pace honest.
If she was willing to lead with a PB of 30:57 she will definitely lead with the confidence her solo 30:17 has given her.
So far in Tokyo the Japanese are not afraid to try and make an honest pace. They just don’t have the talent the Africans do, but they have the guts.

As others have said, the biggest test will be the 1500m. Even if she comes up short and gets silver in the 1500m and silver or gold in the 10k, it would still be amazing. I hope she completes the triple with 3 golds though! I'll be rooting for her.
Same here! GO Siffan
How can all of you support this? There is no one more blatantly doped than Sifan. I honestly believe Obiri is clean, but NO ONE can cleanly put in all of these efforts in such a short period of time and recover. It doesn't matter what your PRs are, the human body cannot sustain this many hard efforts in such a short period of time. And then also have such a gap in each event between them and the rest of the world's best? Please.
So Obiri can run cleanly less than 2 seconds slower than Hassan and can double 5k/10k but Hassan who is four years younger and has been faster in the 1500m since a long time, has access to cutting edge (legal) NIKE support and facilites must be the most blatant doper ever?
This does not make sense.
Hassan might be more suspicious than Obiri but to claim that of two runners finishing with two seconds of each other (and Obiri has beaten Hassan before) one has to be doping and the other is likely clean, is preposterous... If Hassan is suspicious, so is everyone running within a few seconds of her, maybe a few percent less so, but still highly suspicious.

Exactly what do you expect people to do?
She's already drug tested frequently. Without any actual proof, whining about how we think she's doping is futile. One has to be CAUGHT doping in order to be guilty. Simply running crazy times isn't enough proof.
