You guys belong on q-anon
I am sorry that intelligence was not granted to you. Q-anon has NOTHING to do with this, and I would never affiliate myself with them.
I appears they broke up while all this burrito stuff was happening. Was it because of burritos, or something else?
That's not what 'tainted supplements' are. Athletes don't take anabolic precursors (like DHEA which is found in OTC supplements) and then claim a 'tainted supplement'. A tainted supplement is something like buying creatine and it actually contains some ostarine (a banned substance). In this case, the ostarine is not on the label and there's really no way the athlete could know the product contains ostarine.
You have NSF certified products but they are way more expensive. For example, Momentus sells a $15-20 bottle of Creapure (a trademarked version of creatine tons of other brands sell) for $50 simply because they slap the NSF sticker on it. This is fine if athletes were all millionaires, but most Track and Field athletes make very little and don't have the money to spend 2-3x the amount on supplements. Simply not taking supplements is like saying "It doesn't matter what shoes you wear".
1000g of Creapure for $28

https://www.livemomentous.com/products/creatine-90-servingsI’m intrigued by this and find it probable. Question — How easy is it for an individual to figure out (without medical or trainer advice/ guidance) the right amount of over counter supplements to use to stimulate natural production and monitor it? Without a coach or trainer knowing?
Hes believable in his interview. Prior to the shelbo talk, his eyes are all over anyhow. Looking up, sideways, etc. So hes being consistent.
To say he was w her 24/7 is a bit of a reach. Just because you were clappin dem cheeks doesnt mean you were together all the time.
Nah they probably broke up because Centro is an immature man-child

That's not how it works...Actual prohormones such as DHEA or 4-Androstenediol are banned by WADA just like testosterone and nandrolone. An athlete can't take them. But a regular person can. A link is below. Other "supplements" to stimulate natural production of hormones are called food and exercise... lol. Testosterone, growth hormone, EPO, etc... are all influenced by what you eat, how much you sleep, how you exercise, your stress levels etc... You don't just buy a bottle a zinc and tribulus and magically produce the optimal level of testosterone.

You never hear anyone getting busted for eating tacos 🌮
EXACTLY.
Finally someone who has pieced everything together correctly . Centro was most likely the reason she started taking Nandrolone.

+1
She would have known immediately that it didn't taste right and wouldn't have eaten it.
Why wouldn’t she have eaten it? She didn’t know what nandrolone is or that pork offal contains it.

Whoa whoa whoa hold up - sorry if you interpreted what I wrote as combining the two.
A tainted supplement and an anabolic precursor are totally different and an anabolic precursor/pro-hormone is not a tainted supplement, I didn't mean this.
The tainted supplement was a common "out" attempt - especially in the early days of WADA (est. 1999) as in "Hey I thought I was taking a multivitamin and whoops it was "tainted" with an anabolic - I never knew" (shrugging shoulders).
When it came to the anabolic precursors/pro-hormones the "out" was "Well I am not allowed to take (let's use this example) nandrolone, but I wasn't taking nandrolone - here look at my supplement" which doesn't directly contain nandrolone but does contain the prohormones that stimulate high nandrolone production by the body.
WADA squashed both with the "athlete are responsible no matter what...." mantra.
So you are right, tainted supplement and prohormones are different, didn't mean to lump together if it was confusing.
Jerry did not get blindsided by this, him pretending he had never heard of the drug was pathetic. The drug is DECA. BTC has deliberately been using the less commonly referred to actual drug name Nandrolone to try and disassociate from DECA which is an extremely well know drug. There is no way Jerry has not heard of DECA. Everyone from elite to amateur has heard of DECA. They continue to emphasize Nandrolone because they're hoping they trick the sheep who don't do their homework into thinking this is some exotic thing you only find in contaminated pig meat because they know the moment they said DECA everyone would say, wait a minute, I know what DECA is and this whole pig offal story is BS to cover for use of a very common drug used in the sport.

To figure out without medical or trainer advice - I would guess pretty tough though you could probably search a reddit forum or message board for some idea. Of course you could have a friend that tells you what they were doing too.
It's such a risky game for so many reasons, think about this. You are using a substance that creates another - you can't really pinpoint exactly how much/little it creates. So you can read all the literature you want but you will never really know. These supplements vary in concentration this is well known. You might get a bottle with concentration X or your prohormone and the next one might be 5% more -you don't know what that effect is. Humans aren't the same either - just like some humans produce more testosterone than others (even on a same-gender level), you don't know what/how your body reacts. So "your friend" could be fine with a certain amount and you might not be.
So the simple answer is, it's not easy and it's incredibly risky. I would really liken it to the old Icarus analogy - these athletes want to fly as close to the sun without their wings melting but sometimes they get a little close. In Shelbys case she didn't get close she might as well have flown into it.
The one thing I will continue to find funny is the "Jerry must have known he controls everything" narrative. That is complete bullsh$t. Jerry might be a very involved coach but he has family and he is not with them 24 hours a day. Neither are the athletes with each other 24 hours a day. If she was taking an OTC supplement like some of the ones listed here, these take literally seconds to take. She could take the supplement while washing her face before bed and it would take seconds. People are talking like this is a freaking transfusion or something. Absolutely possible that nobody could know what she was doing.
Love all the assumptions on here how every pro and amateur runner knows everything about illegal drugs. My guess would be most runners don know much about PEDS if they're clean, because why would you know about them if you have no interest in taking them?
The other part of the conspiracy I don't get is the assumption that Jerry is the ringleader (and Shalane). Especially since you can see in interviews and comments by the athletes how hands off he is. When they're training at altitude he'll fly in for the day and then leave to be back with family, and they'd usually only see him on workout days. (one of the reasons Quigley just mentioned she left was needing more attention from her coaches).
I think she was taking something she should have, but to think its a systematic scheme of BTC is laughable.
If you don't go at 120, because you can't hold that pace, you need to train that speed endurance a little more. It's pretty late to go and not too hard to hold it that far. Hocker just had a better top speed and was able to close a lot of ground quickly. As for him looking up to answer the Houlihan question, where you look means nothing. Scientists have zero evidence that to the right, left, up, means anything. He is clear to indicate that they are not still together, saying our past relationship, etc.
No, she was stellar before Centro.
Bodybuilders know a lot more about this than runners... they'd probably laugh at how little we know. Here's an article that is probably rudimentary to the average body builder:

Not only that, they ate there all the time and this is the only positive test. That is some perfect stars aligning.

The more they talk the more this ridiculous burrito story sounds. Just shut up. They’re digging the hole deeper.
