3:39, DNF or DNS.
Uh? Is Newbury Park's Colin Sahlman the one entered in this race?
Nijel Amos ran 3:44.04.
Meh.

I think it's fine. I don't see a single 1500 result for the guy ever before. He ran 45.69 for 400 on April 24th. This to me shows there is plan. Remember he doesn't have to worry agbout a trials or anything.
I had almost forgotten about this guy but if anyone is going to beat Brazier, it's most likely Amos.

This reminds me. Interested to see what we see out of Emmanuel Korir. 45.29 a couple weeks back less than a second behind Norman. Is he going to run the 800? Clearly the sprint speed is there and he’ll be a shoo-in to make the Kenyan 400 team. But when he’s right, he’s got Brazier-like talent.

Why did you forget?
Amos ran the fastest 800 since Rudisha's WR less than two years ago at Monaco in 2019 (1:41.89)...the last real season before Covid.
Of the Top 25 800 times ever run, Amos owns 3 of them while Braziers fastest ever only comes in as #29 in the fastest 800s ever.
While Brazier hit 1:43. at age 19, Amos was coming in second to Rudisha in 2012 with a 1:41.73 at age 19.
Amos goes 2 seconds faster at 400 than Brazier, and Amos has gone 21.low for 200
Amos just ran a 1500 in 3:44, his first ever, while Bryce Hoppel just ran a 3:47 two weeks ago.
Forgetting about Amos is folly.
In fact, Amos should probably be considered the#1 800 runner going into Tokyo, not Brazier.
This means I win that thread about who had ever ran a 45 second 400 and a 3:45 1500. I said he could.
Always right, let's hear the haters cry about it. I have more loser crying haters than anyone!

That's excellent for a 400/800 guy.

Oh, in the light of 45.69 it is definitely fine. Shows that dude is building up for a nice 800m.

Dumbest post of the day.^

You're right, but you didn't win the thread. There were 4-5 guys that had better 1500m times, one of them being Borzakovskiy. You could dig up that thread and post in it though.

I've thought he had switched to 1500m completely, since I missed his 45s 400m. For 1500m as a main event it is definitely meh, but as a preparation for 800m it is absolutely respectable.
Exactly. He can now go home to Botswana and refuel for several weeks and he will be in 45/3:38 shape = 1:41 at Monaco.

More like Brazier (almost) has Korir-like talent.

Congratulations. If you did predict this. That makes 1 correct prediction out of 100s of wrong ones.
Trending in the right direction.
So what! He forgot and posted as such.

Also 2600 cases.
Definitely a gold medal threat. It all depends on which Nigel Amos shows up.
I believe Amos is the favorite IF IF IF he is healthy
