only problem is that no one is going to take you seriously if you share articles from outlets with expressed ideology
Who cares what source it is from? Are you saying the story is made up? I've seen this story on several news outlets. Certain websites, on both sides of the aisle, might present the story a little differently (not state some facts, emphasize others), but the basic facts remain unchanged. The students were suspended due to not wearing masks at an off campus gathering.
And I agree with the OP, this is insanity. America just needs to make it to fall 2022 so there can be a flip of power in the House for sure and possibly in the Senate. The Left will no longer feel they can run an Orwellian state.
And their football team sucks too wrote:

I don't know whether it is true or false, but I do know that taking anything from The Epoch Times as fact is foolish. They are well known for twisting stories to serve their agenda.

Ladies and gentlemen, the problem with today.
Because the Machiavellian state was so much better?
We aren't considering bleach injections and popping hydroxychloroquine currently.

Of course you omitted his next two sentences because you are a dishonest covidiot.
They posted on social media which was true idiocy tbh. I’d like to know the timeline of this because it likely happened months ago. I also believe there has to be more going on here because they were allowed to take classes virtually, but yet they were then barred from taking Finals. Doesn’t add up, and since it comes from parents of teenagers I guess there’s some bias here and info we are missing.

Not to mention that you can't even read the Epoch Times article without giving over your email address. Who know what it says?
Full story is here, this happened in March following a surge in cases and a very strict policy was communicated. This is harsh but posting to social media egregious rule-breaking was moronic. They appealed and lost their appeal. Continuing with their studies while under appeal was risky but I understand. To say they are honor students with one semester under their belts is lol. They lost a semester they paid for, however. I’d be pissed as a parent but I’d also be furious at my daughter for sharing this on social media. https://www.wcvb.com/article/umass-amherst-parents-students-suspension-from-school-off-campus-face-coverings/36369974#
Massachusetts, land of liberals who can’t quit lockdown.
Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes.
I’m from MA, run on the Charles and just shake my head at these people who struggle to get their masks up and adjusted as I run by.
These are the same people who have those signs that say ‘Science is Real’ in their front yards. This is true I guess, except of course in this case where Science says you’re not going to get Covid outside.

Followed very closely by the bigger problem with today, people being unable to observe and analyze for themselves and needing an external could be to not only tell them what they are seeing, but how they feel about it as well.

I was a liberal 20 years ago when it actually seemed true that liberals believed in science and data. There was a wing of liberalism that was contrarian and dispassionate and willing to hear alternate viewpoints and accept inconvenient truths.
That part of the party is GONE. Now they'll preach about science right up until it begins to conflict with their politics, then they'll cancel it.
That open-minded mentality is now more present in the libertarian-leaning wings of the GOP. The "lock her up" Trumpers and the religious whackos get all the attention, but there is an ascendant free-thinking intellectual wing of the right that is basically what the left was 20 years ago.
The way that the liberals are responding here, I bet it's TRUE.
