Agree. 13-oh anything is amazing. Great efforts by the guys tonight!

So Scott skipped Europeans for that?
I just don't get it. He should have at least begged his way into the indoor meet we broadcast.
You skip Euros for a sub-13 attempt. Not a "let's run 1312 pace and kick to 13:02-05."
Seems like they just messed up the pacing a little tonight. I think the goal was to run 62high/63low to 4k and then close in under 2:30. Unfortunately Kieran couldn't keep the pace. Woody tried his best to get them back on but when he stepped off they slowed back down to 64 again which ruined their shot at 13.

That's incredibly impressive. Anyone know what Jakob closed his 13:02 in?
53.66

KLECKER IS NO FASTER THAN 13;16 WITHOUT THE SHOES
THIS IS A TRAVESTY
PRs MEAN NOTHING

Honestly I don’t think Scott quite had it tonight. Not a pacing issue, just not quite there for anyone except Fisher.

Huh? He did great tonight. He could eventually go sub 13. Maybe even match his coach's PR.
None of them might catch the World Lead, Adam Ali Musab.
Syd closed in 61 after falling off the pace, think he had more in the tank than he thought. Maybe some imposter syndrome but this 5k at the trials will be very interesting considering what happened this week in VA and tn. There will be some very good guys left out
That’s why it’s called an attempt, no guarantee they run under 13. The pace was off a few laps but 13:02 and 13:05 are seriously good times.

Two years before Ritz went 12:56 at the age of 26, his PR was 13:16. Klecker is currently 24, and went 13:06 tonight.

I agree Scott didn't quite have it tonight but Fisher breaks 13 if the the 3 64 second laps are 63s instead.

Talk about suspicious progression:

Yep, I agree. He looked fantastic, and may have been too deferential to his teammates in hindsight. I’m sure he’s not complaining though.

Yeah except he did run a 3:37 indoor at age 19.
Or rather he was 20 when he ran the 3:37 indoors.
