No. Still working from home here. Masked still required inside.
Hell No! It's gonna be a long dark winter!

Yes. However, the media and certain politicians don't want it to be so they are trying their best to maintain the fear. Fauci stating people should be wearing masks into 2022, people still need a mask after vaccination... what garbage. Masks don't do squat. The goal posts have moved so many times is ridiculous. They now basically want COVID completely gone before going back to "normal". Like the flu, it will never be gone.
Summer will be fun, Labor Day full gas.

Agree. You could basically make an argument that the pandemic is never over based on whatever criteria you want. In fact, you could argue we have multiple pandemics raging constantly.
My standard is, is there an unacceptable increased risk to human health or the possibility of the medical system being overloaded. At this point, the answer to both those is no so I think pandemic-related restrictions should be done. I'm fine with businesses requiring masks or whatever else they feel is important but it's time for government mandates to end. At this point, the data is clearly available for everyone to evaluate their own personal risk.
By the way, do whatever you want, super old population headed for imminent disaster Florida is 27th in the US in deaths per capita. New York led by the greatest governor in the history of governors Caption Covid himself Andrew Cuomo is #2 behind the state run by a notorious ex-Goldman Sachs Grifter. The party of truth science.
Was there ever really a pandemic with a 99.5-99.9% survival rate, depending on age?
Most pandemics in history have lasted 18 mos., so this should be over in June.
That said, I don't want to go back into the office until fall.
Yes
Technically we are below epidemic levels sooooo
Pretty sure I’m still working from home and haven’t been vaccinated yet. So I’d say no.
Almost over, but not quite to the finish line yet. Gotta kick hard.
Not even close. We have been here before. Twice. After the first wave, everyone flung the doors open thinking that it was over. Then came the second wave. When that subsided, it was the same thing. Everyone opened up thinking that it was over. Then came the third wave.
No, we are not even back to infection levels that preceded the third wave and everyone thinks it is over because infection levels have dropped again. It is not even close to being over.
The UK variant will become the dominant variant by mid to late March. Every time the UK variant has taken over in other countries it has caused a massive outbreak. There is no reason to expect anything different in the US, especially if everyone reopens again.
Even if we get enough natural and vaccine induced immunity to head off the UK variant, there is still the problem of the anti-vaxxers. If enough people sit out the vaccine, we will miss herd immunity and give the virus a chance to mutant and find an escape variant that defeats the vaccine and natural immunity. Then it is back to square one and it all begins over again.
And even if we get herd immunity in the US, there is the problem of the rest of the world. The US recently pledged $2 bil to COVAX. But the world is way behind on international vaccination efforts. The rich countries are scooping up all the mRNA vaccines while the poor countries have nothing. This again leaves open the door for variants which will surely find their way to the US. Much more needs to be done to get the vaccines to the third world and make sure that COVID 19 is defeated on an international level.

Bingo
It will keep going because the Democrats need this to keep adding all their BS to the stimulus bill . Dems are discussing in Washington!

Winter's over man. It's gonna be 79 here in the sunny, beautiful Bay Area.
Once deaths are low again we can ease restrictions. A few months away. Keep vaccinating

You're right. The media needs the attention, fear and control of the sheep. They want this to drag on as long as possible. Politicians enjoy their traveling without the hassle of waiting for others at the airport and on a plane, it is such a convenience for them all the while they order everyone else NOT to travel. It is sickening tactics by these bullies and replicates communistic values.
Absolutely not

Ted Cruz would disagree.
