Why looking for maximum mileage to reach individual perfection when you can look for
minimum mileage to reach your optimum results? More time for a fullfilled total life !
Aren't we allowed to enjoy running any more? Personally I look forward to y runs and they usually the highlight of my day. Why do I need to run less?

You can of course run as much as you want. It's just good to know you can run half of that mileage and still reach your optimum capacity. It's of course a free choice if you want to run the double amount of mileage , but it`s not necessary to do it to run faster.

Why aren't you posting as Jan Stensson? Why are you trying to fool people? Aren't your lies enough?
Why are you promoting a training system that has only brought bad results to your marathon runners?
IMO - My personal research seems to show that most elite HS runners rarely go over 55 miles per week. My 11th grade son ran 9:07 3200 this year while averaging around 45 miles per week for the year. Biggest week was 60 miles. This is not uncommon as most (not all) sub 9:00 HS guys are in the 55 MPW range from what I can see. Consistent, injury free training (and some natural talent) is key to HS success. However, at some point fitness levels will plateau and the volume will need to increase to continue improvement.
