This is bang on who are we kidding. That’s an individual sport and he did it at 43.

7 victories... he's at Lance Armstrong's level now!

Wrong. Jack Nicklaus won the Masters at 46. Six other than Woods won the Masters over the age of 40.
Heck, a 25 yo starting for a few games on the Arizona Cardinals is more impressive to me than Abdi making the olympic marathon at age 43. The NFL is far and beyond marathon running when it comes to eliteness. Jaylen Brown on the celtics is way more impressive to me than Eliud Kipchoge.
If Brady was carried to the title by a team that is a perennial power and he just had to "manage the game" or if they overcame a poor performance by him, I would say that it is an Abdi slam dunk.
BUT... the reality is that Tampa is a moribund franchise, they were never a favorite to win the Super Bowl, he played well in leading the team throughout season and through playoffs (they won more "because of him" than "in spite of him" by a long shot) and he was the MVP of the championship game.
So, yes, it is a team game and the defense was great, but I don't think the make it to the Super Bowl, let alone win it, without him. He was the driving force.
For those reasons, I think the question is worth asking. Can we call it a tie and a victory for aging athletes everywhere?

Brady had to be good for an entire season. Abdi just had to be good for one race.
You are an idiot, Abdi had to be able to train at a high level for an extended period of time, performing a receptive movement at a high level without getting injured. Anyone who has run 100+ mile weeks for an extended period of time knows how hard that is.
Standing and throwing a football while other guys run the routes and catch the ball at he same time other guys block the D to give you time is not hard.
