You are absonutely right in the assessment of the runners being a dedicated group, and families affected also. Looking at their record, I 100% agree with you.
To say that it's a cowardly move to leave is defamation. Then there is the poster who says "good riddance to a Trump suppoerter". Prejudice against beliefs for assumptions of character is defamationas well. Public defamation is VERY effective for getting rid of people. Not admissable in a court of law, but effective in ruining a career.
I had a manager about a decade ago; i was a new hire and the day I met her, she slapped me up side the head and told me to change my hair style. I did. She ridiculed me for my weight, but I couldn't change that. She's send fake clients of her friends in to log complaints. Two years she tried to get me fired by public defamation, but my sales #s did not warrant termination. I k ew she was out to sue me any way she could. When I could get out of that relentless boobytrap, I did. My team was helpless to get her to quit defaming me. My direct manager even handed me a severe write-up from her, with a story on it that he knew never happened. He said, "sorry, sign or walk; nothi g I can do. You're barred from ever moving up in this company because of this lie". I left when I could, as soon after.
I choose to honor CS's anger, and stated intent, everone has the right to their opinion and the right to voice it. To say otherwise you marginalize the voice of a POC, and if you chose to do so, I would hope other POC wouldn't be subjected to your same dismissal. That is true racism- to discredit the voices; "just a hastag" is only a part of CS's public statement but if he included hastags, he did it for a purpose and I respect CS.
If I were DS, there is no way on God's green earth I stay around in a boobytrapped environment. No reasonable person would.
