Did David Jackson from UMASS quit or get fired? Why is there an opening for the head coach spot?
No. It's the women’s head position
I've heard more, guy sounds like he needs mario level counseling

Of course. Foster ran at penn st and makes sense for him to go back
But also, no one wants to be left holding the bag when Beth gets the Ax. If you’re an assistant for her you should be looking at other jobs, and replacing foster will be tough because if that person has any wherewithal they would know it could be a 1 year deal.
what does it say about your hire when the most impressive thing on their resume is that they've completed some certification courses with USATF?
Magness is supposedly out at Houston

I've heard this, too, but it's been quiet. Anyone know?

If you’re afraid of the new rules it’s because you don’t understand them or because you don’t have boosters to support your ego for your program.
Huh?
It was a question. My ego had nothing to do with that question... nor does my ego have anything to do with the new rules
Though I actually do understand the new rules. They are that the NCAA no longer can tell student athletes they can't make money.
This will be great for some student athletes but will also have many far reaching effects especially for minor sports like XC & track...none of which will have anything to do with a coaches ego.

I used to think this dude was the next big thing in coaching with his background in science and high level running, but he’s struggled to recruit and develop any athletes there. I’m sure he’s given virtually zero scholarship money to work with, but if you can’t sell kids on Houston and your coaching abilities enough to get decent walk ons who you can develop into contributors… then it’s time to find someone who can.
Any other movement on openings/hirings? I’m hearing UMass Lowell has their guy: Louis Vasquez.

Louis Vazquez who is volunteering at Ole Miss and listed as "support staff" instead of "coaching staff"?
