It sounds like a real scam. You would be surprised the lengths that these scammers can and will go to.
In Tennessee, someone had gotten a hold of my grandfathers cell phone number and he pretended to be his grandson (my brother) and told my grandfather that he had been arrested because of a DUI and needed money wire immediately. Long story short, my poor grandpa believed it and was scammed out of money but this scammer had so much info: address, name, family info. It was despicable.
DO NOT answer the phone or send money or give any information.
