Correct. For a given effort, you’ll spend more time going slower (uphill) than you will going faster (downhill). Which is why I have such an issue with calling an essentially looped course ‘primarily downhill’. As with many of astro’s other statements, he’s implying (or even outright stating now: ‘overcompensated’) an unfair advantage that simply doesn’t exist.
The course isn’t flat, downhill, or paved. No amount of whining about how ‘unfair’ this record is will change that.
