Ah I saw no Pace on his vest so thought maybe he’d raced and dropped out.
Anyhow they have Ramsden and Tobin to pace which is excellent as far as a professional job being done while they’re in it. Do you know the technical meeting target? I would tend to think if they could get to 2k at 5:06-5:12 that would set them up nicely. Does feel like McSewyn/Kejelcha would be best-served taking turns after the midway point if they want to run under 12:55 or even 12:50.

He dropped out long before 5000, He paced for somewhere between 3-4k
Link to follow. Hassan will attack the 10,000 wr and Kipyegon the 1,000m.
Hassan can get paula’s AR but not another WR
Thanks for posting! Who is in the men’s 5k?
Rain and wind this afternoon in Hengelo. Don't count on it.
Kejelcha, Kimeli and McSweyn

A last track competition will be organised in Hengelo on saturday.
Women's 10000m and 1000m
Men's 5000m
There will be a big duel Hassan vs Gemechu 10,000m, last chance for Hassan to gauge her fitness. The goal is supposed to be the European Record.
Women's 1000m, Kipyegon will try one last time to break the WR.
Men's 5000m, Kejelcha and McSweyn amongst others. McSweyn will go after Mottram's NR while Kejelcha is supposed to chase a PB ( guess the WR is not realistic for him)
Note : This makes me realise why McSweyn chose to be a pacer in Valencia in the last moment, so that he can perform in Hengelo!
Here are the times they will be chasing.
The 1k WR is 2:28.98 (Svetlana Masterkova ).
The European 10,000 record is 30:01.09 (Paula Radcliffe).
For the 5000, Kejelcha's PB is 12:46.79 . Mottram's NR is 12:55.76 .
Last rumours are the 10,000 will be much faster, heard wr pace but not so sure, we will see
Sifan will be bored to run for 30 minutes on the track so 29 minutes makes more sense

Thanks for these updates, they're much appreciated. Certainly a nice break from the anti-mask mess.
lol the irony of enjoying seeing people run around without masks as a break from 'anti-masking'.

They may be wearing raincoats ;-)
that was a painful finish
What a shame they couldn't just move the events to tomorrow or something. I fear the rain will ruin their chances.
Kejelcha is putting on quite an exhibition either way
They should have arranged this event south the Alps. It is too cold for records!
