Would I get more aerobic benefit from dropping down to 9 minute miles?
I don't go slower than 8 minute miles because it feels awkward to me - like I am shuffling my feet. Sometimes I have to stop myself from dipping into 7 minute miles on easy runs especially when my legs are fresh. I don't really know what pace I should be aiming for...
How tall are you?
Age?
Weight?
Gender?
I do easy runs by feel but with that being said they should not be a walk in the park. I would run easy pace from 7:00-7:15 for majority of my 60-70 mile weeks and when I started doing that I went from barely breaking 17 to sub 16 and consistently low 16's. What I did when I was in 19:50 shape note sure because I honestly only have run that fast in my 1st two races then like 10 years later when I hadn't even been running at all.
