Yeah I would much rather eat alone on my porch and read than go on a date that thinks trolling relationship threads on LRC is entertaining.

Because a small but not insignificant number of dates for women end up in being raped/stalked/murdered/humiliated.
Many guys take a "yes" for one date as an invite for sex and/or marriage. Too much hassle of saying no to a second date that a guy won't accept.

Herein lies the problem, you are absolutely wrong about this.

You seriously should seek professional help. This girl like all others is undoubtedly creeped out by you and justifiably so. If I ask a girl out and get rejected, running by their house to see what they are doing is almost the worst possible reaction.
If you do hear from her today, it should come in the form of a restraining order requiring you to keep a reasonable distance.
Whoa just to be clear I'm not running by her house to see what she's doing. She lives in my neighborhood and I just happened to be running by. I've been running a route that takes me by her house regularly since before I even knew she lived there.
I'm not some kind of creepy stalker.
Alvin, posting about your rejection on a running message board IS creepy.
Pick one:
1) It's you.
2) She has a boyfriend
3) She just wants to be left alone
4 -1001) other reasons
1 in a million ) So there is a chance!
It doesn't matter what her reason is, if she wanted to go out with you she would have gone out with you. End of story. Move on
If a very large hairy man with many tattoos etc. approached you and asked you on a date (and you would obviously be free as you are always free), would you accept his date invitation? Obviously better than sitting at home alone, right? So you would say yes?
Most girls would rather be alone than with someone boring, unattractive, or worse, creepy. You come off as at least 2 of these in your posts alvin. If I were you, I'd not worry about it and just use the time alone to do some training. You can't change your personality, but at least you can get speed goggle fast.

I don't think anyone WANTS to be alone.
obvious troll obviously trolling, but there are people socially retarded enough to believe this.
introverts rarely imagine the rest of the world is or should be like them.....extroverts almost always do.

So if a dude asked you out, would you just say “well, I have nothing else on the calendar that evening, so sure, let’s do it.”
This is the best answer. By the OPs logic, he should be accepting dates from lots of gay dudes [but he might not be getting many offers there].

The Boss never made the same lame ass thread over and over on a niche online messageboard.
She already knows you as that weirdo that runs past her house.
She not only said no...she made a point of sitting on the porch next time she 'knew' you would be running past.
Take the message, it cannot be clearer
also, as a dude, I know that a lot of guys are really creapy.
She doesn't owe you a thing. Women are not your possession.
There are times where a girl can already tell they won’t have fun with a potential date, or already have their eyes on someone else. The truth can hurt.
*Like literally

This isn’t true at all. Ask anyone in a relationship or any married couple, they love having alone time.
Also, some people understand the difference between want and need. Nobody NEEDS to be in a relationship. People WANT to be in relationships. Thus, you hold out to find someone who WANT to be with.
Lastly, most people understand their worth. Going on a date takes hours of your day. If you have no interest in the person there’s no need to waste hours of your day. Especially when you sound like the kind of guy who will make the women pay if she says you’re not getting a second date.
because the women you're asking out are not interested in you. sorry. take it on the chin and move on.
Who said she wasn’t enjoying herself, having quality alone time reading on her patio?
Or maybe your so ugly that loneliness is still a better alternative
I generally greatly prefer to be alone with my thoughts, a book, a movie, etc to being in the company of someone I don't really like much. This is essentially what introversion is.
