What is the headwind right now? If it is approaching 10 mph, then EK really is wasting energy for no reason. Looking at the trees it seems pretty still to me.

Why are we watching wheel chairs and not runners?

28:52 at 10k (2:01:48 pace) with 11 guys including Mantz and Alberson up there.
So the 2nd 5k was 14:35 which is 2:03:04 pace. And that 5k is also downhill by close to 70 feet. So the pace really isn't creazy if you factor in the hills.

No offense to wheelchair finishers or the racers but anyone know who is showing men’s / women’s non wheelchair race ? ESPN has been showing this timetrial for 5+ minutes now

only in running do we pay athletes that people have little interest in.

It's a shame, I'd probably watch and enjoy the wheelchair racing without disappointment if it was on its own and finished entirely before the main race. Niche sports are interesting to me, it's a cool weather/course preview, etc. But now it's sort of innately annoying to me.

The average speed of the wheelchair was about 22mph. That does not belong in the same event. It is a cycling event.
