Saina didn't "come out of nowhere". She's certainly shown she's way better than Hasay et al in the last year or two. 30:57 on the track (just 10 seconds behind Huddle) in early May. 31:10 on the roads in June. Her 14:39 is no more surprising than Huddle's 14:42.

Saina is 26 now, I believe. Her 14:39 IS a little unbelievable but she was always definitely very fast.

She is far more competitive on a global scale than Cain, it's not even close. If there was a WCs this year she'd be a virtual lock for a medal, Cain would be hoping to just make the final.
That being said, women's 1500m running this year and the last several years is much more competitive on a global scale than women's 800m running. Not taking anything away from Wilson, but women's 800m running as a whole is weaker
