18:25 on that course is ridiculous, I don't think any women in NCAA history would of beat her today.
Given that Lemngole is a Diamond League winner and fifth in the World Championships n the Steeplechase (an event that translate well to x-country) why on earth would one expect a college freshman to beat her?
Flanagan won 2003 race in 19:30, leading 7 under 20:00.
In 2022, Valby broke 19:00 on the super-fast TX A&M course, believed to be the first sub-19 on a legit 6k course.
Valby ran 18:55 on the very fast Panorama Farms course to win in 2023, the first sub 19:00 at an NCAA champs.
Two years later, 13 under 19:00.
How many track records do we see at BU in two weeks?
Congrats to sound-running for predicting the NC State win. Not a blow-out as predicted . . . and certainly not a 70 point total as I thought . . . but they got the job done.
OR moved up from 5th last year to 3rd . . . but another sub-par performance. Not the best performances from its #1 & #2 Cherotich & Cherobet. Looks like everyone else ran quite well.
Favorite team Stanford 6th, ranked 9th coming in.
Bunnage ran 19:15.0 for her fastest 6k race ever . . . and finished 30th . . . after 4th last year.
Teammate Kennedy runs 19:16.7 . . . by far her fastest 6k ever and closest finish ever to Bunnage . . . and finished 34th after 33rd last year.
Both have 15:10/5000 prs . . . and they're no where close to the leaders.
As stated above, how many track records & prs go down at BU a couple Saturdays from now?
I thought Panorama farms was slow? very hilly. Maybe the course was slightly short though which made times look fast.
I live in Minneapolis. What the hell are you talking about? Maybe Somalians, or Ethiopians. But still pretty Lily white. Maybe you're talking about the Swedish and Canadian finishers?
You might want to get out of your White suburb. Minneapolis is only 58% White now and falling fast. In 1950 it was over 99% White. Even in 1970 it was 95% White. It will be less than 50% White by 2030.
Probably the only athlete in the top 6 who has gotten tested more than once in the last 12 months. Likely tested 8-10 times based on stats around Kenyans who compete at Worlds.

it runs faster than it should so I kinda question the length.....
Maybe people were right that Taylor was stupid to let Hedengren run that hard 8 days ago at regionals.
Jane hung with one of the top pros in the world for 5600m and broke the old course record. What exactly did you expect would happen? Doris was not going to lose today no matter what. And again, I cannot emphasize this enough, Jane was not going hard at regionals. Anyone who says she was didn’t actually see the race.
How old is Lemngole really? Over aged African runners who cheat with dope and their ages are ruining NCAA running.

According to Nation Kenya, World Athletics is investigating 34 Kenyan athletes, including Olympians, over allegations of falsifying their ages in cases dating back to 2016”
