SILAS KIPLAGAT.! 3:27:64. So happy for him. His rivalry with Asbel has been a little one-sided for so long. Poor soul man burned himself out. And what about young Ronald Kwemoi? A 3:28 at that age is amazing. Kenya is so spoilt for choice in the 1500.

Damn!! 1500m may not have produced a record but what a race!! 7 under 3:30 and PBs by Leo and Centro! Unbelievable meet so far. Glad to finally see Willis get under 3:30, hoped for a little more by Centro but still a very solid race and he continues to improve.

You probably already saw the post above, but it looks like the record for 4th - 7th (at least) were set in this race. Probably even further down the line than that.

Actually, it seems safe to say 4th-10th.
I saw that after I posted. Pretty incredible that Willis finished 7th with a time that would have never finished lower than third in any other race in history.

I think
Leo Manzano is close to being recognized, in my opinion, as the greatest American 1500/miler of all time. He has the hardware and now has the fast time.
awesome last 400 by willis as well!! right near the back pretty much the entire race.
finally goes under 3:30!! probably the most sympathetic mid-distance runner out there right now
