Eeewwww. This makes me quite sad. While it's reasonably obvious, Zouhair is opportunistically "becoming" an American, errr, isn't that at the heart of why everyone throughout history came here? For the opportunity??! Did anyone come here expecting things will turn out worse, but they really just loved what Jefferson said about inalienable rights?
Your comment reminds me of a friend I have who moved to Austria from Africa. He hadn't lived in Nigeria for 20 years. Was fully a citizen. Raised all his kids as Austrian, all fluent in German. And hear tearfully and angrily said, "to them my kids and I will always been an African, never an Austrian, no matter how long I live here."
This story was over a decade ago, and I remember thinking, that's what makes America great, we let people become Americans. If I see a black guy or a brown guy in the street, I don't assume he's not an American. In other places, they will never be seen as German or Austrian or French.
So your comment is pretty tragic, because ironically, while you might be an American in the legal sense, your philosophy is very unAmerican.
